The pizza was so amazing that we didn’t have a chance to take a picture of it. Great place. We will be back. So the above was the review from lunch, we loved it so much that we came back for dinner. This time we remembered to take a picture of the amazing food. Once again we had a great experience - the food, the service, and the ambiance are 10/10. We will probably be back tomorrow.

Don’t let the name fool you. This is a hidden gem. The food was delicious. We ordered the bruschetta, a pizza, and a pasta. All were fresh, cooked to perfection, and authentic. The basil smash cocktail was 10 out of 10. The service staff was attentive and kind. We really enjoyed the final apéritif, and the limoncello was great. We look forward to coming back.

Good food, nice service and a wonderful atmosphere. It started to rain but the outdoor terrace has a roof which makes it very cosy to have dinner at. I really enjoyed the Nutella pizza as dessert.

Tonight I had one of the best carbonaras I’ve ever tasted — and I’m still thinking about it. 🍝🔥 The carbonara at 18 La Playa was the perfect balance: creamy without being heavy, rich yet elegant. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the cheese blended beautifully, and the smoky touch from the guanciale elevated the entire dish. Nothing felt overpowering or artificial; it tasted authentic, carefully crafted, and full of flavor. What impressed me most was that they didn’t try to overcomplicate it. They respected the essence of a true carbonara while still giving it its own personality. Every bite was better than the last. Definitely one of my favorite pasta dishes I’ve had in the Dominican Republic. If you go to 18 La Playa, this dish is a must. 👌

beautiful setting. pizza was delicious and pastas were good too. they also have tables and beds on the beach. gluten free option for pasta. good coffee and tiramisu!
