Newer hotel in Santiago, rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are very caring and welcoming everywhere we go. The pool is on the rooftop overlooking the monument and they have a rooftop restaurant and bar. With views as well. On the rooftop there also is a cigar lounge with a good collection of cigars to enjoy. I also happened to have their buffet breakfast which had some authentic Dominican flavors. Currently my favorite hotel in the area.
This is a new, beautiful property. The staff is all very friendly, the rooms are clean and modern, and the gym is superb. It has an almost spa like atmosphere. The pool deck is very nice, but it would be even better if the pool was heated. It was simply too cold for anyone to use. The breakfast buffet in the lobby level restaurant was small but enjoyable. Overall, a really enjoyable stay.
my stay at the AC hotel in Santiago was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, professional and incredibly attentive, making us feel welcomed and well taken care of throughout our entire stay. the hotel is modern, elegant, and impeccably clean. My room was spacious, and very comfortable. One of the highlights of my stay was the breathtaking view from my room overlooking the monument. waking up to the view and seeing it illuminated at night was truly special and made my experience unforgettable. I highly recommend the AC Hotel Santiago to anyone visiting the city, whether for business or leisure. This stay was memorable, and I would absolutely return.
Overall, this hotel has a lot going for it. It’s one of the newest hotels in Santiago. The elevators are plentiful and fast. The finishes are contemporary with very little wear. Comfortable seating and space in most areas. A well lit high ceiling lobby. A choice of dining and drinking venues to include a cigar lounge, a rooftop bar and lounge, an indoor sit down restaurant with an outdoor dining space. A decent sized breakfast room and a gym. They’ve been in business long enough to have perfect service, but this is where they fall short. I’ve been going to Santiago for eight years for business and stayed at multiple properties in the city and the service here is the lowest level I’ve experienced. Marriott is known for quality and while every other aspect of this hotel meets their bar, the service is not good at all. The pool area is serviced by the Cigar lounge and during the day for two days in a row on the weekend there was one server who rarely came out of the cigar lounge to offer service and when you went in the cigar lounge, they were nowhere to be found. This caused us to leave our checks that were open at the bar when we were ready to leave. They also allow glass on the pool deck and with heavy winds when a beer bottle is empty or a glass is empty. They tend to blow off the table onto the tile floor and shatter. This happened multiple times in two days. The rooftop lounge, Cielo, had the worst service not just in this hotel, but in all of Santiago. We talked to multiple people and they all experienced the same. On one evening I placed an order for drinks and over a 45 minute period had two other employees visit our table, confirming the order but still not bringing any drinks. Finally went downstairs to the restaurant to get drinks and then we’re not allowed to bring those upstairs. After receiving our order, we never saw another server again and could not get their attention as they walked by. Two nights later was in the same rooftop lounge. Only this time with four tables seated out of 40 tables. Assuming the service would be better was a false assumption. We would go to the bar after 30 minutes of not having someone visit the table only to be told to go sit back down and wait for a server. We would wait another 5 to 10 minutes before someone would show up. Mind you there were literally just 20 people in the restaurant and five people working at the bar and table service. Now onto the breakfast buffet. If you’re not lucky enough to book a rate for an included breakfast, you’ll pay $28 for a buffet breakfast. I was there for four nights and every breakfast was exactly the same leaving no variety from day today. Often times the scrambled eggs were empty and if they weren’t empty, they were cold. The coffee cups are very small and the servers rarely come around to refresh your coffee without you having to wave them over. The coffee was also often cold. If the eggs were empty and you ordered fresh eggs to be cooked for you, they would gladly take the order but it would be a 5 to 10 minute wait and during that time, they wouldn’t take the opportunity to also fill the buffet eggs for everybody else. Finally, service at the front desk while good was shortstaffed at all times. There were many times when there was one person working the front desk with five or more different parties waiting for service. You had to time your visit perfectly or wait 45 minutes before you could get up to the counter. I love this properties location, and the fact that it’s newer with a rooftop pool but honestly, the service is so bad I can’t imagine ever returning.
This hotel is very nice. My room was very clean and the staff were very kind. There is a rooftop restaurant, bar and swimming pool with some lounge chairs and You can look out the area since the hotel is one of the tallest buildings there. The location seemed out of nowhere but I was able to uber to the nearby downtown to have brunch and also buy some local chocolate. Very close, only 5-10 mins away.
