This aquarium focuses mainly on marine life from the Caribbean, with some freshwater species from the Amazon as well. It’s a good mix that gives you a sense of the region without trying to be overwhelming. One thing I liked is that most of the exhibits are indoors, so it’s a solid option if it’s raining or too hot outside. There are also outdoor areas where kids can play, so it works well for families. Just be aware that some sections may be under renovation depending on when you visit. When I went, the tunnel was closed, which is usually one of the highlights. Overall, it’s a simple but enjoyable visit, especially if you’re already exploring this side of the city.
This was the worst aquarium experience I’ve had. A large portion of the aquarium is under construction, with multiple areas blocked off and not accessible. There was no clear warning at the ticket booth or before purchase, so you only discover it once you’re already inside and have paid. It felt misleading. If major sections are closed, they should either reduce the price or clearly disclose it upfront, or not open at all! (Foreigners pay double)
This was a truly wonderful, family friendly location. The various tanks are clean and well maintained with a nice variety of creatures. Unfortunately when I visited in March 2026 the tunnel was closed and under construction so we missed that. Otherwise the fee was very reasonable and the space was accessible. I visited on a Sunday in the late afternoon (maybe 3 or 4 pm)
It was nice, but most of it is closed. Tunnel was closed, kids play area closed (the main things we were interested in). Expect more of a place to see different types of fish than much else. Some crocodiles and iguanas. Worth the money and time, just want to set your expectations if youve been to a huge aquarium, this will be a little underwhelming for adults. But the kids loved it. If you take your time you can see it all in under an hour, if your kids move fast youll be done in 20min. Beautiful scenic views of the ocean. Nice picnic area if you have infants and want to feed / hang out.
Was a really fun outing, I really enjoyed myself seeing the marine life. The tunnel was under construction so couldn't really get the view as if your underwater but still fun. The manatee wasn't there either nut still 5 stars. I had a blast
