Unfortunately, this location is not at their best anymore. The outdoor dining by the sea still seems great but, the food quality and portions have decreased considerably. Most recent visit was during the holidays when there’s an influx of tourists and expats so, we were expecting it to be busy but, the service was simply terrible. The staff were very polite and apologized for the service but, for such a longstanding institution in the city, they should know better.

Adrian Tropical on the Malecón is about location and atmosphere. You sit facing the sea. You feel the breeze. The view is the main asset. The food is okay. It is traditional Dominican cuisine, decent portions, familiar flavors. Nothing exceptional, but acceptable. You are paying for the ocean view and the experience of dining by the water. For visitors, it is worth it once for the setting. If your priority is culinary excellence, there are stronger options in the city. If you want a relaxed meal with a sea backdrop, it delivers.

The view is amazing! You are able to enjoy a meal while looking out over the ocean and at the beautiful coastline. The food is good, but not great. The servers are very nice, but the service itself is a little slow, even for the Dominican Republic. I'd recommend visiting at least once, just to take in that view.

This used to be one of my go-to places for traditional Dominican food in Santo Domingo, but sadly it’s gone downhill over the years. Service was slow—we waited a long time to order, to pay, and to get help from the waiter. The atmosphere remains great, but I’m not sure I’d recommend it anymore. Hopefully, they make improvements. Will still recomend the Mangola juice and the mofongo.

while slow service the introductory sancocho is great! Great mofongo and good drinks. Recommend the sonrisa tripical juice or the piña coladas. The ambient is the best right by the sea, asesome breeze and view!
