This company is the worst to rent a car from. While I’m not a lawyer, I recognize bad business practices when I see them, and this is a prime example. Six months before my trip, I booked and paid for a rental car. Upon arriving at the airport to pick it up, the attendant informed me that I needed to pay for insurance to cover the car. I was shocked and said, “I already paid for the car and specifically declined insurance. Why you guys are forcing me to take an insurance that I will not used?” She replied, “Oh no, it’s because you booked through a third party.” I responded, “Well, that’s not my problem. This can’t be forced upon me right now.” However, she was adamant that I must pay for the insurance before I could get the car. I then asked her how much the insurance was, and she replied, $550. I was horrified because I had been forced to pay for an insurance policy that I had specifically declined during the initial reservation. In conclusion, I strongly advise against renting a car from this company. They are a bunch of predators who look after you to get your money.

Awful experience. We left DR early because of an approaching hurricane. We spoke to numerous people about the car rental we would be returning with 5 days notice. We were going to lose out on 3 days. We were taken from person to person. One said yes they’d refund us. Then the other said we’d get credit. And here we are. A month later with no reply. No credit. In today’s world, money is money. 5 days notice is more than fair. Awful thieving business. I am still awaiting my credit!!! TERRIBLE. Check in was fine. Check out was fine(big smiles) we asked about the concerns. And were told no problem. They will get back to you…….?????

Posting on behalf of my sister-in-law who leaves in Dominican Republic. I have used this company in the past, but based on her experience I'll reconsider using them again: She rented a car for 10 days, but on day 3 was told the plate expired that same day and had to rush to another branch. When she asked for compensation for the inconvenience, the staff mocked her, saying her “compensation” was not getting fined (incredible!). After 5 days of silence, they offered only a discount on her next rental. Terrible customer service—she does not recommend.

I will never rent from them ever again. Reserved my car through Expedia with a quote of $203.74 for 10 days in March. When I got to the airport I was told that I had to purchase additional insurance so the new cost was now $377.96. When I got my credit card statement there was a charge of $203.74 and $377.96. At drop off they tried to tell me that there was a new dent too. Luckily for me, I took a video when I picked it up.
