Apolo Spa in Santo Domingo is a top-notch bathhouse. The facilities are spotless and modern, with spacious steam rooms, saunas, and hot tubs that provide deep relaxation. The atmosphere is calm and inviting, perfect for unwinding after a long day. The professional and friendly staff ensure everything runs smoothly, offering attentive service without being intrusive. I left feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. Highly recommended for a premium spa experience in Santo Domingo.
I went to the Apollo Sauna in Santo Domingo with high hopes of sitting in the hot tub Jacuzzi to relax and chill out after a wonderful day in the “Colonial” part of Santo Domingo. Then, the owner saw me trying to enter the facility and told me it was closed while I was trying to open the door. Regardless, I walked in and then he would not let me enter the sauna because I’m handicapped. I am walking impaired and I use canes to walk. All I can say, it’s a horrible sensation when being discriminated against based on age, race, nationality, sexual orientation, physical disability, etc… as many can attest to. It kills me that I made the effort to visit a queer gay owned business in a foreign country and was rejected from the door. 🚪 for being walking 🚶♂️ impaired. Here’s a recap of the situation: When I asked the owner why he would not let me enter the first time he said the sauna was closed. Then, I asked the owner again why he would not let me enter the Sauna after he allowed three other people/patrons to enter, he asserted that it was not safe for me to enter the sauna because of the web floors and the soap on the floors. …BLATANT DISCRIMINATION… I experienced something similar when I visited a sauna in Singapore 🇸🇬 I would give them zero stars; however, you’re not able to do that and post a review…
We drove up specifically from Punta Cana to visit the spa . And we were not disappointed at all !!! We will be coming again tomorrow! Place is modern and clean . And great mix of people. Something for everyone 🙌 We were met by Alberto on the entrance and he was very friendly with us . Also barmen was very friendly! 5 star ⭐ looking forward to tomorrow
Paid 800 pesos although locals told me they paid 500. I would appreciate more clarity about entrance fees. Nevertheless, the place was clean, the receptionist (later I learnt he is the owner) was friendly and there were mostly local people on the couple of days I visited (Wed and Thu after 7pm) The dark rooms are VERY dark and the cabins have only a chair. Some of them with glory holes. The steam room was hot as well as the Finnish sauna. They also have a bar and clothing shop. Overall it was a good experience.
I went to the spa last week and i had good experience ,everything clean ,nice guys and no complain at all , Good place to visit in dominican republic
