This review is for the restaurant food. I did not stay at the hotel, so no idea about the rooms or the service. But I got a FOOD POISONING from their Sea Bream Meunière. My partner had a different meal so he was fine, but they took three days of my vacation time with their crappy food. I was very close to going to emergency room, couldn’t function for three days. To be fair we had breakfast and dinner there before, and food was delicious, and we thought we were going to come back until we try every single thing from the menu. Not so much now. Be careful if you eat there…

Lovely and private, but doors need to be sealed so mosquitos don’t get in, and walls need to be cleaned-lots of old 🦟 splats. Breakfast now includes eggs 👏🏻. Restaurant is a little uncomfortable due to low ceiling, tables close to each other, uncomfortable chairs and no ambiance music… but I guess that’s how the owner wants it. Food is very good.

* Great location right in Playa Bonita, one of the best beaches in the Dominican Republic. * Surrounded by neighboring hotels and, of course, Playa Bonita, allows you to have great walks or runs right next to the beach and come back to your room, there is a chill vibe. * Spacious rooms with running water and clean, be on the lookout for mosquitoes since Samaná is known for having a lot of them, bring a mosquito repellent if your skin attracts them. * Breakfast service (included) consisted of toast and eggs (you choose how you want them done), free coffee, choice of juice in my case was: Lemonade, orange juice, Chinola juice (passion fruit), also a choice of hot chocolate, coffee or tea. They brought pineapple jam (my favorite they usually make it in the DR) and the other one tasted of some kind of berry jam I didn’t recognize but it was good. Overall really good but limited in terms of breakfast options. * Check-in in at 3:00 and checkout at 12:00 pm with some wiggle room which was nice, because we arrived earlier and left a little late and they didn’t give me any trouble. Only stayed a night and had a pleasant visit, it is a very nice hotel, this is not a cheap hotel, so If you don’t mind the 100$ + USD a night it’s a solid choice for the price tag .

I recently stayed at Hotel Atlantis in Playa Bonita, and it was an unforgettable experience! The location is simply stunning—nestled right by the beach with breathtaking views of the ocean. Waking up to the sound of waves and enjoying my morning coffee on the balcony was absolute paradise. The hotel grounds are impeccably maintained, with lush greenery and a peaceful ambiance that make it the perfect getaway. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated, and spotless.
