As a tourist in the Dominican Republic, finding a good gym can be a challenge, but I've hit the jackpot with Bossfit. I have an apartment in the complex behind Ole so I was always curious to see the gym in the plaza. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a blast of perfectly chilled air conditioning—a true lifesaver in this hot climate. The gym is impressively clean and organized, with a wide array of brand-new equipment and an extensive selection of dumbbells that will satisfy any lifter, for real. One of the things that sets Bossfit apart is its dedicated cardio and stretching room, which provides a quiet space to warm up or cool down without feeling crowded. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to make sure you have a great workout experience. Even though my Spanish is non-existent, they were patient and accommodating, making communication effortless. Even the other guests working out at the gym were very friendly! For those like me who prefer flexibility, the day-to-day payment option is incredibly convenient and, to my surprise, very affordable. They also make it easy to grab a post-workout shake or supplement, as they have a great selection available right at the front desk. All you need to get started is an ID and a payment method. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Bossfit is a fantastic choice. With its top-notch facilities, friendly staff, and great value, it’s a gym I highly recommend.

The Ciudad Pablo Mella location started out great, but then it was a series of neglects and poor decisions by management, who prioritized the new location in Los Alcarrizos. They took away some of our machines and weights, which we no longer have and were using under the false promise of new equipment that still hasn't arrived. There are three air conditioners in the cardio area and where the leg machines are located, but only one cools properly; the other two don't. The cleaning is also inadequate. And in the mornings, the Zumba class is held between the two locations because the owner decided to leave an empty area inside one of them.
