I love how the owner responds to good reviews but for the bad ones he doesnt. This one is for you JEFE. First and foremost if you come to SDQ please do not rent from Budget, upon renting the car with full insurance and unlimited miles and no penalty for low gas, I rented the car and was told the deductible of 400$ will be returned to me in 10 business days after you return the car. Upon returning the car I was also reminded I would receive my deductible back and its been like 2 months been very patient, i called numerous times and still no return on my deductible, Budget is a scam steer clear, and do not use it, if I could give them negative stars I would. I will make sure to never recommend budget to my clients thats fly to SDQ.

I recently traveled to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and decided to rent from a big name company like Budget at Aeropuerto Internacional Las Américas, thinking it would be safer than going with a smaller local rental company. Big mistake. There was a small scratch on the bumper paint, and they charged my credit card almost $700 USD. As someone from the Dominican Republic, I know that repair wouldn’t even cost $100 USD locally. To make matters worse, they are refusing to provide me with the documentation of the claim, which means I can’t even submit it to my insurance for reimbursement. This experience showed me that Budget in the Dominican Republic is just as much of a scam as the smaller companies I was trying to avoid. Stay away from them.

My experience with Budget Car Rental in Santo Domingo and La Romana was nothing short of a nightmare. I was knowingly given a rental car with a dangerously defective tire. An employee even attempted to mask the issue by adding air to the flat tire before I took possession of the vehicle. The tire went completely flat the very next day, leaving me stranded and vulnerable. Thankfully, kind strangers helped me change the tire. This situation was incredibly stressful and could have easily led to a serious accident. Upon returning the car, I detailed the incident in a report, expecting some level of accountability. Instead, Budget proceeded to unlawfully charge my credit card $124.55 for a tire that was already defective when I received the car. This is not just poor service; it's outright deceitful. Budget knowingly put me and other drivers at risk with a faulty vehicle and then had the audacity to charge me for their negligence. I use to always rent from Budget and not will not be doing any business with Budget anymore. Not a good experience.

This is the best rental experience I’ve ever had. I’ve rented in 3 countries and this is the best budget I’ve ever been to. Irwin is an amazing representative. Although I came to the wrong location, he made sure I got the right car for the right price and even helped me with upgrading to a better car and got me the best contract I could’ve gotten. He was very polite and helped with the directions as well. While returning, I’ve had the pleasure to work with Juan. He is also an amazing representative. My return experience was also excellent and Juan made sure that Im fully satisfied with the overall experience. This place seems to employ the best people. Whoever is running this place is doing everything right. Juan and Irwin are great assets. If you’re renting in Santo Domingo, this is the place to go.

Just rented a normal car, great service, it took the normal amount of time of a rental, free upgrade and the car was super clean.
