This was, without question, one of the worst hotel experiences my wife and I have ever had. The property bears little resemblance to the polished photos uploaded by management, the more accurate representation can be found in the guest review photos posted by previous unhappy customers. The room was unhygienic, with visible mould and a strong unpleasant odor throughout both the resort and hallways. Despite advertising a TV in the room, there was none provided, which is blatant false advertising. The fan produced a constant loud squeaking noise that made sleeping extremely difficult, and the shared front balcony meant noise and disturbances continued late into the night. Breakfast was minimal and disappointing. The conditions were so unacceptable that we chose to cancel our stay, regardless of whether we would receive a refund. Before leaving, we gave management an opportunity to handle the situation professionally and refund the remaining balance as a gesture of goodwill. I understand how damaging honest Google reviews can be to a business, so we attempted to resolve matters privately first. Unfortunately, they chose not to refund anything. At that point, there was nothing left to discuss. I strongly encourage future guests to ignore the promotional photos and carefully review the customer-uploaded images instead. They tell the real story. Save yourself the frustration, inconvenience, and wasted money… this place is simply not worth it.
Casa Grande is truly a special place. The setting is stunning—right on one of the most beautiful beach in the area, with incredible ocean views and a relaxed, stylish atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The food is absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was fresh, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. It’s the kind of place where you want to take your time, enjoy the meal, and soak in the view of the sea. What really makes the experience unforgettable is the warm hospitality. Marie, the host, is incredibly welcoming and clearly cares deeply about every guest’s experience. The entire staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely kind, which made the visit feel very personal and special. Whether you’re stopping by for a meal, sunset drinks, or staying at the hotel, Casa Grande is a must-visit when you’re in Playa Bonita. Amazing food, breathtaking views, and truly heartfelt service. Highly recommended.
Playa Bonita is amazing. Great for surfing. The rooms should have mini fridges 💯. I give it 5 star because as long as I have a bed, that's fine with me. Staff need to be more organized. Food is great. Breakfast included is a plus. I'd go back for sure. Maybe next month.
The restaurant is excellent and the location is perfect. Service was okay and everything was clean. However, the rooms are very old and worn out. Breakfast was also very basic with limited options. Given the state of the rooms, it felt overpriced. Great if you care about food and location.
Great location and service (thanks Frenchie Rosa). Breakfast service was bad, should be from 8 am (buffet style), but it wasn't ready until 8,30am (staff showed up after 8). Was inconvenient for us because we had to leave for our excursion. Other than that it was a good experience.
