To Whom It May Concern, Canela 2 Clinic – Padre Abreu, La Romana My name is Doris Del Orbe, and I wish to respectfully report an incident I experienced at your facility today at 8:48 p.m., hoping it may serve as a reference to improve the patient experience. Since yesterday, I have had discomfort in my right eye. I didn't feel pain, only a persistent discomfort, so I decided to come to the clinic for professional guidance. I was seen by Dr. Guzmán, to whom I explained in detail what I was experiencing. During the consultation, I was advised to take pain medication. However, I clarified that I wasn't experiencing pain, but rather eye discomfort, and I hoped to receive more specific guidance or, if necessary, a referral to an ophthalmologist. I understand that not all doctors are specialists in every area, and I deeply respect the work they do. However, I believe that in situations like this, more precise guidance or a proper referral can make a significant difference to a patient's peace of mind and well-being. My intention with this message is not to discredit the staff, but rather to express my perception of the care I received and to highlight the importance of clear communication between doctor and patient. I understand that the clinic has highly competent professionals, and precisely for this reason, I believe it is necessary to review certain details in the treatment and evaluation to avoid misunderstandings or concerns. All patients have the right to understand the treatments offered and the reason behind each recommendation. And I am sure that this principle is part of your institution's values. Thank you for your attention and the opportunity to share my experience in order to contribute positively to the service you provide. Sincerely, Doris Del Orbe
Good morning, my name is Alondra and I had a very bad experience in the operating room yesterday morning after my C-section with a nurse on duty. It was disrespectful and abusive. They need to have more professional staff with more empathy, because dealing with sick people, especially a woman who had just had a C-section, is unacceptable. The patient has the right to ask questions... but this bothered her, and if a nurse took a dislike to you for any reason, they would contact each other to give you the same bad treatment.
I was in the emergency room on July 9, 2024, at 5:25 a.m., with my 7-year-old son. We went because he was suffering from vomiting and diarrhea. The nurse on duty at that time was rude, gave us a hard time, and provided terrible service, simply because we woke her up during her work hours! She also showed a lack of ethics towards the staff! It's worth noting that I've been going to this clinic regularly for about eight years, for inpatient appointments, consultations, and the emergency room, because my son suffers from asthma and adenoids! The service from all the other staff is excellent, for example, the doctors, orderlies, security, and receptionists! Never in eight years have I experienced anything like this!
Dr. Laura Rodríguez was very good, professional, and polite, providing excellent service. She was the pediatrician who cared for my premature baby in the NICU. Nurse Sterling was also a very kind person; she cared for my baby in the NICU as well. I liked how she treated my child; I received excellent service.
