This is where most of the Chinese supermarkets, restaurants, and small businesses are located in Santo Domingo. On Sundays, the whole area comes alive with a street food market, with stalls set up along the street offering a mix of local and Asian-inspired dishes.

The best mojito I've had in my entire life and I'm 40. My hotel clerk suggested I go here being as it was Sunday so usually they have their tents out with food and drinks. He suggested i go after 5pm but as a solo traveler i decided to go in the early afternoon instead. I'm glad I did because it wasn't so crowded and I got good photos and videos and got to really see and interact with the servers. Did I mention that the mojito is the best and the presentation love. I drank it thinking I could've gotten another but my body told me otherwise. I would definitely revisit and highly recommend. They were very helpful in assisting me with the money and the language

There are a variety of supermarkets with imported Asian products. On Sundays they do a traditional Asian food fair at cheap prices (you must bring cash and go early in the morning) you also find fish and vegetables.

On the weekends they have Street vendors in the streets. Very good food. All of this cold because they don't keep it under heat lamps and they prepare it ahead of time. Still worth the trip
