They are ridiculously expensive. Be aware if you are a tourist. Like many places in D.R. they will charge you more. 146 dollars for 4 bags of clothes. I use a place in Atlanta and this amount of clothes would have cost 40-50 dollars. There is a lavandaria near the Embassy Suites on Tridente that gives way better prices. I guess I was wrong in thinking that this one should be similar. Piantini is a more expensive location, but it typically mirrors U.S. prices not Europe prices. So again, be careful with the prices in this place. I'd go to another location. oh yeah, 3 days to get clothes. I'd stay away.

I have to say my experience at that laundromat was awful. You drop off clothes to be washed and have to wait up to 7 or 8 days for them to be returned. On top of the exorbitant prices, the service is terrible. They charged me for express service for a dress that was supposed to be ready in a few days, but I received it in 4. Also, when I went back, it was still wrinkle-free and unpacked. When I complained, the manager or supervisor, Sonia, came out angrily. She's a very unpleasant woman, completely unethical, and doesn't know how to speak properly. When she does speak, it's always sarcastic, as if she knows she's wrong. The cleaning staff are very vague; you never know what you're going to get. They tell you to come back in three days, and when you get there, the bill says 12. What's going on? The girl named Keila is the best; she's very attentive, friendly, and responsible. But I absolutely do not recommend this laundromat. Don't waste your time. There are other smaller, more efficient laundromats with quality, good service, and speed!

They were charging me over 6,000 Dominican pesos for 11 pieces of gym wear (a top and tracksuit), which is more than $100. But the worst part was that they took advantage of my urgency and never told me they were going to charge me that much. They didn't give me an invoice, just some orange-colored receipts, and told me not to worry about it, so I left feeling reassured. When I went to pick up the clothes two days later, I discovered the rip-off. The girl who helped me tried to help and lowered the price by 1,000 pesos, but it was still very expensive. I felt robbed.
