Please don't don't to the doctor Evelin mena there, she really don't know how to deal with patients, she is so mean and don't even look at the labs results
Our experience was excellent. We went to the emergency with a ear problem and they sent us to a consultation with a HBO across the street, who was very helpful, efficient , professional and friendly. The Clinic has a valet parking, which is important in area.
My mother was hospitalized in a hospital in Samana (Las Terrenas) for Dengue fever and pneumonia. After 6 days of hospitalization and fainting twice in her bathroom without assistance or help, she was discharged and forced to leave because, according to all tests and doctors, she was just weak but on the road to recovery. 24 hours after her discharge, she fainted again, was confused, spoke slowly, and could no longer walk without assistance! Thanks to a contact, we found the Abreu Clinic (we took a taxi to Santo Domingo) which admitted my mother and conducted a battery of tests. The result: an electrolyte imbalance (potassium and magnesium deficiency) which was simple yet could have been fatal at the stage she had reached. If you are seriously ill, avoid small rural hospitals and go directly to Clinica Abreu. They have the necessary technology, the expertise of often bilingual doctors, and attentive service. The hospital is very clean and located in a decent neighborhood. Go there even if it is not the one recommended by your insurance; their administration provides all the invoices for reimbursement without any issues.
Good clinic but spaces are crowded, lack of chairs and social distances as doctors share commune waiting room. Most doctors offices are too big but I guess you have to satisfy their ego Too crowded because of lack of space. Checking area is very slow, arrive way ahead of your appointment. Not checking for your vaccine card
I was in Santo Domingo I become îll I went to the clinic I spent 5 hours at the ER then they took my passport and a large amount of money for deposit, when I finally done I end up with a big bill even in the US unless you have done so many tests they have never changed patients that much. Please do not go to Abreu clinic for any reason, it’s a scam there.
