Dont go there! They rip you off totally. I went there for a little wound to be treated and they charged 420$. The doctors are friendly but when it comes to paying a dubious man appears and says you need to pay de bill now. Otherwise he will call the police. He said its because its an international hospital. Which is a joke because no one of the doctors speaks one word english. And its not written outside. So please go to another hospital. I went to a regular which was really clean and nice and they charged just 20$.
Do not go to the pharmacy here. They charge 5x more for things than the regular pharmacies close by. I got chagred 2200 pesos for something the other pharmacies charged 450 pesos. Staff is kind of rude too if you dont speak Spanish.
Horrible. My friend (who is a local) brought me in for lower left side belly pain, and the receptionist wanted to charge 2500 for a consultation that she first had refused to schedule at all. Then my friend spoke to her, and she dropped the price to 2000 but that the doctor is not in yet. When asked what time the doctor was going to be there, they avoided answering the question and eventually said it could be one hour or it could be in 5 hours, or maybe not at all that day. My friend insisted there's no way a doctor can just show up whenever or not at all with patients waiting. So the receptionist WhatsApp'd her and said shes be there within 2 hours, and do I want to wait. I did wait, the ObGyn saw me and did not do any sort of diagnostic or exam whatsoever, just wrote down my symptoms word for word (I speak Spanish so this is quite easy) and sent me to sonography, but her writing was like that of a so big the sonography order barely fit onto a full piece of paper..makes me wonder about the level of training and or literacy among these "doctors". Sonography was another 1000 pesos. The sonography tech was nice, seemed to be the only competent worker in the place. She printed out my results and sent me back to ObGyn, who literally looked at the paper and still didn't do any kind of exam or diagnosis or anything whatsoever. Didn't allow me to ask about additional symptoms I was having- I wanted to know if they were related and or what the treatment would be. Was told to come back in 2 weeks for reevaluation. So 3,000 DOP wasted for them to literally tell me nothing I didn't already know, and not answer any of my questions.
I was treated at this clinic over a month ago following a scooter accident. Very limited explanation of the procedure was provided to me. I had to guess that they were giving me some sort of vaccine, painkillers, 4 or 5 stitches (turned out to be 5, so 1 is now ingrown...), and x-rays of which the results was never presented back to me. The treatment was rushed and I had to ask them to wrap 2 more wounds that were still open in the end. I then had to pay on the spot with no invoice (they said they would email it to me, never did). Afterwards I tried contacting them to fill in a medical form for my insurance claim (they never replied). Communication and a bit of kindness would have been nice in a state of emergency. I was alone in a foreign country, bleeding and in a lot of pain. They did not reassure me of what was going on, did 0 paper work and just gave me the feeling that I'm getting treated because I would pay. I do not feel like I was properly taken care of mentally/administratively.
I arrived at the hospital after a difficult and challenging night of food poisoning. The first impression was positive: I was admitted immediately, the place was clean, and the staff were kind. However, as time went on, the experience took a turn for the worse. I was discharged the next day, but they refused to give me a discharge summary. They asked me to return for a follow-up on Tuesday. When I came back, they didn’t actually examine me—the main focus was on money and payment, which came to an unreasonable amount that, surprisingly, was identical to the deposit we had left upon arrival. When we reminded them that they had asked me to return for a follow-up, they claimed not to remember and said that if I wanted to be examined, I’d need to pay more. Even though the insurance company was covering the costs, the whole experience felt very unpleasant. The administrative manager was rude and unhelpful, and he refused to issue a specific invoice that we needed for the insurance. Only after persistent and uncomfortable insistence did he finally provide it. After we left and translated the medical summary, we were surprised to find incorrect clinical and medical information. Additionally, there was no indication of what was administered through the IV I had received. In summary, it was a terrible experience. Fortunately, later on when my husband and daughter needed medical assistance, we went to Centro Galeno and had a much more positive experience—especially in terms of humane and respectful care.
