I have a close relative in the ICU. We haven't been able to see them for two days because they don't even open the door during visiting hours to let us see our loved one, and they don't give any information over the phone either. To sum it up, two days without seeing or knowing anything about our relative. The only thing they tell us is that they're having a problem! If I had known that this clinic was so insensitive to patients and the pain of their families, we wouldn't have taken our relative there. I've been reading most of the reviews, and only one among so many is positive; the rest are bad. There must be a reason!

Terrible management and lack of humanity This is the worst care I have ever received in Santo Domingo. I went to the Emergency Room at Clínica Independencia with a severe asthma attack, experiencing difficulty breathing, fever, headache, and intense chest and lung pain. Despite the severity of my symptoms, they only gave me three nebulizer treatments and an injection. When I told them I still felt unwell, their response was to send me home without further ado, telling me to "find a pulmonologist." They didn't perform X-rays or a blood test to rule out complications, showing a complete lack of interest in my actual diagnosis. The most outrageous thing was witnessing the staff's indifference to a critical case: an elderly man arrived with his wife, who was unconscious and passed out, in a car, and it took them six minutes to admit her. No doctor came out to assist; the man had to enter screaming for help, and, faced with the indifferent gaze of even the cashier staff, he had to carry her out of the car himself in a wheelchair he found at the entrance. The lack of emergency protocols and the complete lack of human sensitivity are alarming. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If management doesn't completely overhaul the staff, they're destined to fail. A terrible experience.

"TERRIBLE SERVICE" The nurses are inefficient; you request one to your room and they pretend not to hear you. Private rooms cost 450 per day and are in very poor condition, with old air conditioners, a broken ceiling, and in the discharge office, if you go to ask a question, they ignore you, and another person is just talking nonsense on their phone. Even the parking attendant is rude and they charge you for parking. In conclusion, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT 👎👎👎

They make you wait a long time, even after you've seen the doctor. They often go off to attend to other patients, leaving the first one waiting and completely forgetting that they left someone else waiting. I think assistance should be immediate in an emergency room. Another very bad experience is that they often charge for things not used, like a nebulizer that wasn't used. It's highway robbery. Keep an eye on your bills and don't go where they ignore you. They have terrible service.
