As others have said, they don't seem to care to serve white folks. We ordered soft drinks and a few dishes. The ice was melted far before the food arrived. Only the crab wonton things were hot. The food was typical for a port, but far from authentic Caribbean standards. After sitting and watching everyone else being attended to, we asked for the check. The server brought it to the table, put it in his cargo shorts side pocket, then cleared the table, came back and wiped the table, then gave us the ticket. Gratuity was already added, but we went ahead and paid in cash, tipping more, to avoid possible credit card issues. One appetizer and three meals were $100. To top it off, my daughter got food poisoning and was sick later that evening. Better off venturing away from the port for real food. Probably a decent bar, but not a restaurant.
Our flight was late. - we spent 10 hours in this cafe and we didn’t want to go. Good drinks. Amazing people. Dominican vibes.
Drinks were super good, food was okay, but service is very slow. The staff was very friendly, but be prepared to have to wait 15-20 minutes to get a drink. They were doing the best they could with the amount of bartenders they had working.
If you are a person of non-color, don’t go here. They discriminate baed on your skin color. Waited for over 30 minutes while people of non white color were immediately waited on. Poor poor service.
You dont get what you order ... hotdogs without cabbage and Cheese... but they want the full price.
