🚩👌🏾The corner store/bodega/calmado-part as they call them here in this country is just like the rest, beer, snacks, liquor ect, think they sell some simple pressed sandwiches behind the counter, but why I came is this little Cafe in the back that serves great dominican breakfast and lunch items for a very affordable price and the cook is a charming talented hardworking morena. The owner is sweet, nice to her employee and guest, and accommodating, a slice of avocado is optional and free addition to the meal as well as onions or little things, coffee/espresso is something like 50cents. For about a double shot. 2nd time around and I was equally satisfied. I only been on Friday mornings, I came yesterday on a Thursday and they were not open. I think on weekdays it's only lunch, but on Friday and saturday it is breakfast lunch and early dinner. Maybe on Mondays thru Wednesday they do breakfast. I don't know.
All colmados in Santo Domingo are convenience stores that have delivery services and also serve as cozy afterwork places for beers and drinks. This one is not the exception. This one is located in from of the Eugenio Maria de Hostos park, so if you are in the park, is an option to go across the street to get drinks, beer, softdrinks and snacks
This place is cool only if you like loud music and ice-cold beers, and the staff are very attentive, especially the guy who sells food from his cart.
Very good service, good location and entertaining.
A pleasant place, the staff are very friendly
