According to Article 39 of the Constitution of the Dominican Republic, equality is protected and discriminatory treatment is prohibited. Furthermore, the rules for protecting users of the financial system state that no person should be mistreated or discriminated against when requesting a financial service, whether due to their race, religion, age, disability, or economic or social status.
