Terrible service. If we don't get my father out of that clinic, he'll die. The doctor has no ethics when speaking to patients, the nurses don't check on him, and all the staff seem angry. The bill is inflated even though we have SENASA insurance. It's total chaos there. The rooms are filthy, and patients are expected to take out the trash and clean themselves. The doctor is never at the clinic and never answers his phone. If the consumer protection agency sees this comment, please conduct a thorough investigation of this place, which is only interested in taking money from poor people. I don't have enough space to list all the other problems with that clinic.
The worst doctor in terms of service is Dr. José Alberto Reyes Gómez. He may be the most qualified professional, but he leaves patients waiting and then leaves the clinic. He works in three different places and makes patients wait without even saying he won't be returning. When patients can't stand waiting any longer, they're told their appointment, which was on a specific day, has been postponed, as if illnesses can wait. His service is extremely poor, and even worse is the fact that those who know about the complaints keep him working there.
A total lack of responsibility and tact towards patients. Today was another level of irresponsibility. There was only one patient inside, and the doctor went out to give a new doctor a tour, leaving us sitting here waiting for over an hour and a half to see the results of a Doppler ultrasound... Instead of taking 5 minutes to check those results. On the other occasions we came to the "Clinic," the doctor didn't pay attention when we were speaking to him and even started checking personal messages on his phone in the middle of the consultation... Completely and utterly disappointed as a patient. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT AT ALL. They order tests and even charge you for a consultation just to read the results. They charge RD$1,200 for the consultation to order the test and RD$1,200 to read the results... Even though the test was covered by the SNS insurance. A terrible, terrible, terrible experience as a user. In the end we had to leave without them checking the results because it took over two hours and they never arrived....
I wouldn't recommend anyone go to that place. It's filthy and neglected. The operating room looks like a kitchen, and the bathrooms are pigsties. They're supposed to be affiliated with government insurance, but they charge you as if you didn't have it. Most of the employees mistreat patients. The doctor operates and never even looks at you. The nurses don't check on you, they don't give you the medications correctly, and they even write the prescription wrong. You don't even have anyone to call if you feel sick or something happens after the surgery. You just go home, and if you're okay, you're lucky. Personally, I had a headache that lasted three days. I called the emergency room, and they told me I had to go in on the day of my appointment. If it were up to them, people would die. And when you go to have your stitches removed, they send you to the trainees for the pre-checkup, who don't even know how to assess a wound. Thank God I'm over that nightmare. They're doing that surgery at the Cabral Hospital now, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I hope the Consumer Protection Agency and Public Health investigate. So you can see the conditions in which that place is operating. I don't think it's fit for that because the poor person needs it, but a person is at risk every time they have surgery there, since they're not prepared for an emergency either. They make you sign a document saying that if something happens to your patient, you're responsible for getting them out of there and transporting them. It's a real mess; they're only after money, money, money. Please be careful.
Mi madre se operó aquí, le hicieron una safenectomia. Excelentes atenciones del doctor y su equipo. Mi familia quedó muy agradecida de sus servicios y mi madre se recuperó muy bien.
