Im a Detroiter & A “Certified Pizza Nut” 🥜 And they have the best pizza & cinnamon rolls in Santo Domingo “hands down” & I won’t eat pizza any place else period from now on. I trashed many pizza in the Dominican Republic so believe me when I say it’s that good and it’s better than some pizzas I’ve tasted in Detroit and it’s on par with Buddies Pizza if not better because of the cheese being of excellent quality here in SD
Pizza in the DR on a whole different level! If you are looking to switch it up a bit and try something different from the New York style aplatanado that is typical in these parts, I highly recomend this pizzaria. Im from Detroit so when I heard about this place I had to check it out. Pleasantly surprized. Wow what a great crust! Now, if you are from Detoit area, this is not quite what they serve back in D Town. That, one can only find at the source. Don't come here expecting that, it is more the style. Do..... come expecting an amazing pan pizza, made with fantastic massa madre crust, great sauce and high quality cheese. They got some interesting concepts for toppings, like chicharon. I will come back and bring friends. Maybe hit the foodtruck to compliment the chef. Keep up the good work, guys.
Food was enjoyable, would definetly recommend just as something new. Service was atrocious unfortunately. Our waitress made the experience feel as if we were bothering with our presence. Never followed up with our table and we were the only ones in the place. Whoever is the owner should pay attention to this. All in all I left her a nice tip. Maybe she’ll realize not everyone is as ratchet as her! Do better!
Great place for pizzas made by the Dominican chef Raul Cifuentes. They have classic flavors like pepperoni but specialties with toppings like the double cheeseburger, pork cracklings or birria pizza. The chef was firstly known by his extrordinary dessert combinations and recipes and some of his sweet creations are available to order from the menu and in counter along with other pastries like croissants. Pizzas are rectangular of six slices and they can perfectly be eaten by two because the dough is not thin at all. It's really a nice place overall, not fancy or huge but their dishes definetely are something different. Service was great and they're on point with recommendations.
As a native of Detroit living in Santo Domingo, I felt obligated to try this place when I saw the name lol. I was really impressed with the Maria pizza that I ordered. I would've preferred a crispier crust, but I ordered delivery and it probably steamed in the box, so I understand. I also would've preferred a more neutral or spicy sauce (theirs is a little sweet). But overall, they did Detroit proud and it was one of the best pizzas I've had in DR.
