This office of the General Directorate of Internal Revenue (DGII), located in Plaza City Center on the San Isidro Highway, pleasantly surprised me with its speed and efficiency. I went there on the recommendation of an accountant friend who suggested this branch if I wanted to get my business done without any setbacks. And it truly lived up to her recommendation: the process was smooth, the staff was attentive, and everything flowed smoothly without long lines or wasted time. Ideal if you're in Santo Domingo Este and need to resolve tax procedures efficiently.

Horrible. Unprofessional, tiny. Incredibly, the military provides better service. The parking lot is a miniature dump. You have to pay for everything in cash, like they're the Mafia... Disappointed in this place and the country.

Un disparate, empezando por la policía o guardia de la puerta, hasta el que atiende en servicio. Fueron muy descortés y muy imprudentes con una mala forma de hablarle al cliente. Sin embargo las que están en caja fueron amables. Los demás te tratan como que te están atendiendo de gratis y si no tienes una incapacidad visible no te dan turno preferencial, me explico si tú vas con un yeso con un pie roto te dan el turno, pero si tú vas con un dolor de riñones no te lo dan por qué ellos te ven bien con sus ojos, me pasó a mí que tuve que ir por obligación y tengo problemas de la columna que según ellos me ven *BIEN* y por eso no hay turno.

Inefficient service; they don't provide clear information. I literally had to go to three different offices, this being the first, to get information about the lost license plate. I don't recommend them.
