A beautiful open air restaurant with an amazing menu. Rosa was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. My Spanish is not so great and she was very understanding and helped me through. We would definitely love to come back again
I’ve eaten at plenty of restaurants during my time in Cap Cana, but nothing—and I mean nothing—comes close to the experience we had at Dolce Italia thanks to one incredible person: Rosa. Rosa isn’t just a server; she’s the heart, soul, and magic of this place. From the second we arrived, she greeted us with the warmest smile, the kind that instantly makes you feel like you’ve known her for years. Her energy is contagious, her kindness is genuine, and her attention to detail is unmatched. She somehow finds the perfect balance between being attentive and giving you space, and every interaction feels effortless and sincere. It truly felt like Rosa was hosting us in her own home—guiding us through the menu, sharing recommendations, and making sure everything was perfect down to the last detail. She transformed a simple dinner into one of the most memorable moments of our trip. And yes, the pizza is amazing—easily some of the best you’ll find in Cap Cana. But as good as it is, it was Rosa’s warmth, professionalism, and personality that made the night unforgettable. The pizza was delicious… but Rosa is the reason we’ll be back. If you’re visiting Fishing Lodge, make Dolce Italia a must-stop—and hope you’re lucky enough to be served by Rosa. She is truly one of a kind.
Never thought pizza could be better …..not too much bread, fresh ingredients (nothing frozen or canned), generous toppings. Excellent experience!!! Rosa was great!!
2nd time eating here in 2 years, excellent service and food. My wife and I agree that the spaghetti with meatballs and burata was the best we have ever had. The tomato based sauce was amazing. We also had the risotto, which was very good. The wait staff are very pleasant. This restaurant is a hidden gem in Cap Cana. Keep up the great work.
Small restaurant on the Marina North area of Capcana. Definitely a place to go if you want great freshly made pizza. My favorite items are the pizza, the red sangria, and the shrimp Cesar salad. My husband ordered a crispy chicken sandwich last week and it was horrible. It is made of a formed meat patty which is usually just a frozen item. They should strike that one out of their menu, honestly. The staff are very pleasant and courteous. A bit annoying when they are short staffed but you just have to be patient and be kind for they are doing the best they can. They have gelato available but I am not a fan of it anyway. Desserts are not to my liking but that depends on your taste. Overall, a great place to eat lunch and dinner.
