Pistachio cappuccino was impressive and delicious. Pistachio Carbonara (pasta plate) was fantastic! Breakfast options sound amazing but only served in the morning, so come early for those. Well worth the walk.
First things first, the place is incredibly stylish and modern, which we loved. However, the customer service can be summed up in one word: TERRIBLE. On our first visit, everything was just okay, and there were complaints about the food being average. The coffee and croissants on the other hand were fantastic. I must mention that if you order a caramel cappuccino in Santo Domingo, it consistently tastes the same and is excellent! One thing about me is that I always order French toast wherever I go for breakfast – it's my go-to dish! So, I ordered it here, and the first time it was soggy (you could clearly see the egg & taste the egg so much as if it wasn’t cooked). I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they were just busy. However, on my second visit, I made it clear to the waitress that I wanted well-cooked French toast & I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t come soggy. She assured me it would be done properly. When it arrived, it was still soggy actually looked worse then the first time. I could easily tear through it. I immediately informed the server that the French toast was very mushy & that before I couldn’t eat it that it looked bad, and if she could please replace it. To my surprise, she said it wouldn't make a difference and I'd have to pay for another. This turned my experience immediately to a solid ZERO. I couldn't believe I had to leave hungry she literally didn’t care and didn’t see how wrong the whole situation was. So I got up to pay my tab & immediately asked for the manager, the entire time she was sitting behind the croissant display. Which means she heard the whole situation and literally didn’t even care… Despite her rude response, I calmly explained the situation. She suggested I should have ordered without syrup, but I reminded her that the waitress didn't offer that solution the first time. She abruptly asked the waitress to refund me and end the issue. It was a shocking and disappointing experience for me and my friends. The customer service was seriously disappointing as a visitor and apart from the croissants and coffee, the food was not up to par. It’s also pretty expensive and they don’t like to accommodate or change absolutely anything on their menu. We really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, the customer service was the worst I've experienced in my life. they definitely need new staff without a doubt. I have never encountered such poor service in my life. The only none rude person was the guy who worked there.
This place is super cute, cozy, and chic. The ambiance is very calming, and the decor is simple and elegant. The service is great, and the food is a little pricey but amazing. It's not easy to find parking around but they offer Valet Parking. I loved this place highly recommended!
We ordered two brownies and they weren’t as good, the dough was a little too hard, it had ice cream on it, that made it less bad. They were way too expensive. We had a couple coffees that were good and not that expensive, except for the one with lots of things on it, it had Nutella and a cone. I don’t recall the name. Loved the place tho.
Food was good, there is Chinola/Passion fruit juice is one of the best I tried in Dominica Republic, you can tell is fresh. The staff was very nice and attentive, I went for a second time a few days after as my whole group was happy with their service and food.
