I think the reviews from more than a few months ago are about a very different business. It was the 4th mini market we tried in Las Galeras and although not cheap was easily the best. It has a much better range (paté even) much of the stock is priced, we had decent red and rosé Spanish wine for DOP345 a bottle and they take credit cards with no markup if you spend over DOP1,000.

Market was fine. Had everything we needed. Some of the staff are very rude but otherwise it does what it’s supposed to.

Good local market.

My experience of owning a minimarket with high-quality products, very clean, with 80% of the items having their prices posted on them.

They don't accept credit cards, even though they have the machine there. The guy who runs the business is an opportunist and only thinks about money. Don't buy from them. Reply to your comment: Their card machine isn't broken. What happens is that if you spend less than what they want, they don't accept it and give you that line. I suppose it works for amounts over 1,000, but not below that, as someone here said. Wow, that sounds like being very ambitious to me.
