That hospital doesn't feel public, but rather like a private clinic. It's kept impeccably clean, and the service is excellent. On my first visit, a woman they call "Wao" helped me in the records department to complete my medical record. She even called out some colleagues for their negligence and poor conduct, demonstrating her commitment to good service. She has such a wonderful vocation that I told her she'll go far. I hope she's considered for any recognition or awards. I also want to highlight Dr. Encarnación, in family medicine, for her attentive care and outstanding professionalism. Without a doubt, she's a great professional.

It is a hospital in the capital of Santo Domingo, in the National District, in the Villa Consuelo sector, near the Centenario Avenue. It has areas for laboratory work, sonography, and consultations such as gynecology, orthopedics, pediatrics, emergency care, among others.

The good and the bad. I went to the emergency room due to a kidney stone attack. Anyone who's had one knows the excruciating pain I'm talking about. I arrived at 7:30 and endured the pain until 11:30 when they gave me an IV and painkillers. I spent the entire morning waiting for urine, blood, and ultrasound results. For an emergency, that was far too long. I was doubled over in pain, almost collapsing to the floor, and none of the staff offered me any support at that moment, not even a wheelchair. They just looked and pretended not to notice. I feel there's some bureaucracy involved in the appointment system. The good: The two doctors and the nurse who treated me seemed well-trained. Next Tuesday, I have a direct appointment with the nephrologist. I hope everything goes well.
