As hostel pretty good. Not a 5 star hotel.

We love Bella Época! I always stay here with my partner when we are in Santo Domingo. We recently went with our 2.5 year old daughter. The owner is so helpful and friendly along with the staff. The included breakfast is always simple and delicious. The rooms are comfortable with great working AC and hot water and always very clean. The terrace, comfortable common areas, and balcony views are an added bonus!

Very good service! Free breakfast with vegetarian options upon request. The staff are super hospitable and always remember my name. Free water dispenser on every floor. Walking distance to Nacional Supermarket and several restaurants. Close enough to Zona Colonial to get a decent Uber price. I once walked from the Zona back to the hostel, but that will take you like 45 minutes to an hour, if you're into that. Great place to stay! Many rooms have bunk beds in case you have kids or extra roomies.

I have been coming here since 2016. The rooms are clean, the staff is so nice, and the free morning breakfast is delicious. The location is great - easy access to the colonial zone and the beach. Would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay in the Santo Domingo!

Very modest hostal with family ambient. Staff provides good service. Hotel is clean. Breakfast in am. Awesome terrace on the top for a good drink and cigar under the stars. Good stay for the price (it’s charged per person per night 😉)
