Bar, DJ, and food very good. A popular place with locals and reasonable prices. Bar and food checks are separate however which is cumbersome. The rooms are clean albeit dated. It is in a good, but very noisy location. Allot of maintenance issues including missing shower head's and burned out light bulbs, as well as non working refrigerator and other problems. Beds are comfortable ,but the pillows are old and lumpy.price The entire hotel is in need of a major remodel . I usually stay here, but this last time I changed hotels due to many maintenance problems. I also dropped my rating from four to two. Restaurant and bar are good. Excellent Wi-Fi and good cell tower reception in some rooms.

July 2023 Had dinner here with a friend, the service was excellent, the food was not fit for human consumption. ALL of the FOOD served was laden with grease and vegetable oil. I had the chofan and it was with meat, the meat was like shoe leather, the taste was awful and not palatable at all. If the hotel doesn't do something about it or make changes to the kitchen staff many people are going to get sick. AS OF TODAY NOT A SAFE PLACE TO CONSUME FOOD IN HOTEL DON CARLOS RESTAURANT.

Hotel has changed a lot from 2001-2003 and not for the better. Service is like fast food, rooms smell like mould, blankets don’t have a clean smell or scent, in fact one of the two rooms we got, it didn’t had a light bulb in it, but they fixed that after we complained. One of the blankets had very small spots of blood on it and lots of dust on the floor. You can see rooms are not modern at all from previous stays.

At the restaurant it was ok. The service was a little bit slow however, and the atmosphere was so tense (we didn't have music or any entertainment). But the waiters made a good job.

ok if your young, and have no cares about cleanliness, bugs, hair on the bathroom floors from previous occupants...then stay here...very cheap (understandable so). Mature adults, women, I would opt for a somewhat nice place. This Hotel is very inexpensive, and it is nice being attached to a restaurant, but the old beds, smelly ac units, and dirty floors, were not for me. Thank GOD (very serious) I took my own sheets from home!
