We enjoyed a week in a one-bedroom apartment. The entire space was very clean and the size was perfect for the two of us. Only negative for us was in the bathroom. The shower was quite small with the shower head too high. The accordion-style glass door wasn't awesome. Although the toilet worked, we left the tank lid off all week so we could tap down the float when it regularly got stuck, not allowing the tank to fill. We felt it was easier to just deal with it than try to get it fixed. The location was perfect for us since we had friends staying in a house just down the road. The beach is just over the street. This is our third visit to Las Terranes and likely to poorest shape the beach was in. We don't hold that against the hotel since the beach is not privately owned and no one can control the stormy weather. I would describe the breakfast as "good" and the service was also good. Stay here if you want a comfortable place on the beach at a reasonable price, but it's far from 5-stars.
Best location across the street from Playa Las Ballenas, in Las Terrenas! We walked everywhere, including into town several times. Stayed for a week in December 2025. Hotel requires some updates for sure, but our 2 bedroom suited our needs even though we were not cooking in the kitchen.
If you want to visit the Terrenas- do not come here at all-AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. We were assigned a two bedroom- the AC was not working in one of the bedrooms and in the living room. When we asked them to check this- they laughed at us and told us that were when they clearly were not!!!!!! The fact that they laughed at us made the matter worse because it showed that they did not care. All bathrooms were dirty- the shower heads were full of rust. When we attempted to make breakfast - there was only one stove top working and all others were broken. If this is a hotel apartment— shouldn’t the stove work??? Well we tried to make the best of it at the beach but realized that for the money we were spending- we were not given the resources promised. We spoke to the owner ( you will know who he is as soon as you see him ) and politely asked if we can leave instead of staying another night due to the AC and room conditions- they said no and repeatedly said the AC was working when it wasn’t. My uncle said then we will not return- and he said he did not care due to the fact that there is always people that come here!!!! So people- please don’t come- that is why they do not care to fix any issues due to the fact that they still have individuals coming to the location. By the way- quick fun fact- the day we checked out- the toilets were no longer flushing…….
Perfect location on the beach (Las Ballenas). Walking distance to restaurants and beach clubs. Incredible terrace/balcony facing the beach. Clean and comfortable. Some minor issues with inconsistent hot water, but not a deal breaker. Wonderful response from staff.
I was at this hotel on July with my husband and my 3 year old girl. We had a blast and it was all we were looking for. My husband came back from there with the sense of moving to Las Terrenas . We LOVED the hotel and the service and its people. It is a GREAT family oriented hotel. Jenny ( the front desk ) it’s the best! We recommend this hotel and we are DEFINITELY coming back.
