Our stay at RIU Bambu was a wonderful experience. The resort is beautifully located right on a stunning white,sand beach with crystal clear water. The grounds are well maintained, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and serviced daily. The food offered a great variety, and we especially enjoyed the themed restaurants. What stood out the most was the friendly and helpful staff, who made us feel welcome from the first day. Overall, it’s a great choice for a relaxing and fun all inclusive holiday. We would definitely come back.

Don't believe the one star reviews. We just got back with the family and I must say I was impressed. The rooms are not up to date but you are only there to sleep. The shower pressure was great. The only thing is that the outlets were a little loose in our room for when charging your electronics. We ate literally everything on the menu at the buffet. From cheeseburgers to mussels. No one got sick! I wouldn't say the food was the absolute best but had no complaints. Staff was super friendly and the beach was absolutely amazing. Fun times.

Very clean room, staff super friendly, beach and pools are amazing! No cockroaches in room, no dirty sheets, no dirty towels! Food could be better, some things were delicious like the carne asada tacos, fresh fruit, pastas, meatballs, sunny side up eggs, cheese selection was great. Ice cream cones are good. They have beer. The orange colored juice in the reception area is good! Wilmer checked us in and could not have been any nicer 😁 Air conditioning wasn't working and they sent someone to fix it within half hour, it's perfect now.

We went as group of 13 people for vacation. Here are the summaries of our experience.. Pros: - beautiful ocean beach - water park - best part - Palm Beach (stake house) restaurant is the best. Hibachi was also good. - Hats off to the restaurant manager to accommodate our request for two marriage anniversary and on birthday celebration. Thank you. Cons - Customer service is worst, we had water leak from the air conditioning, we complained but no one showed up to fix the issue. - Our flight got delayed, so we missed one night, we arrived there next morning 10 am, but they were not able to provide us room although we already paid and checked in online for the room. When we asked, why we are not assigned to a room? They simply replied, as we didn’t show up, room was assigned to someone else although we’re charged for that night..! - Food was mediocre at all other restaurants. Although collection of food numbers was good but taste wasn’t great and management was poor, lots of cross contamination - Food ingredients labeled wrong, which was big issue, we went in group of 13 people, some had food restrictions, it was very difficult to figure out. - language barrier is another issue, it was struggling to explain any request at the kitchen, or room service. Recommendations - Add better food options/ kitchen beside the pools, for example finger food, burgers, pizza.. - Water Splash park, should have food option, such as burgers, pizza etc. it was fun at the park but kids got very hungry and there are not facilities for food other than drinks.

Leaving a review because there were so many 1 star reviews which almost made my girlfriend’s family cancel their vacation last minute. - Thank god they didn’t Anyways id say it’s a solid 3.5-4 star resort. Staff were great, nothing stolen from our rooms, didn’t feel a massive tipping pressure like some say. Rooms are def a little out dated but no mold or bad smell, def no bugs. (We kept nothing in the safe, and kept locks on our suitcases) Entertainment sucked - the only good thing was the violinist they had the one night in the lobby. - - Personally didn’t make it out to the foam parties or go too much off resort. Beach was nice, and the pools were alright - main one was a bit dirty but the back far one away from the main area was a lot calmer, nicer, faster service, cleaner. Food was meh - but everyone knows the food in cuba and dominican sucks compared to mexico. A la cartes are first come first serve so dont go later then 6:30 or you wont be guranteed a spot - mexican, steak house the best, italian i got sick from but was great in the moment, habachi good aswell. Dont waste time with others. Buffet is repetitive and gets boring quick, same thing everyday pretty much whethers its the breakfast/lunch/dinner one. All in all I don’t know why theres so many 1 star reviews. Def wouldnt call it a 5star resort, a solid 3.5-4 id give it. But would not recommend cancelling your trip over it last minute.
