Terrible … worst resort I’ve ever been to. Very disgusting ! I was given a room that was supposedly clean and was all dirty. I’ve never been treated the way I was treated at this place food was ok, utensils not clean, majority of workers were not nice, it’s sad because I love to give back to my people and that’s why I tend to vacation in punta cana but I would have preferred to stay in my apartment in the city of Santo Domingo. I atleast know that my room and food would be clean and I would be treated like a queen. I am a nurse and with my family of engineers and it’s sad we thought we would have had a wonderful time and sadly terrible !! My aunt was scolded by one of the workers because she sat at a table without being seated. However, the worker saw her looking for a seat and left her wondering …It almost gives if your not white, you won’t get the treatment you acquire since so much money is spent. Quit sad!!! Thanks to Milcana, she was the only person that made up for the trip. Woman cleans spotless !! Her supervisor thought terrible women! She was talking all about how much they clean and blah blah blah, my mom food her sitting in our room talking nonsense while another cleaner who wasn’t Milcana didn’t even change our sheets !!!! Overall, this place is disgusting! Managers are very inappropriate, supervisor didn’t solve anything.. He was ridiculous! Honestly, if your not European don’t waist your time at this place ! Don’t waste your money paying for Elite subscription, it’s all the same BS ! The only thing worth it is the beach, pool somewhat because who knows if they actually clean it ! I’m telling you even the cups are disgusting! Overall, do with my review what you guys think. Hopefully, none has to go through the stress I went through ! Attaching a picture of the dirty sheets! Oh I forgot to mention when I arrived all the drinks were drank and put back in the fridge !
We’ve been to several different all inclusive resorts and this was very similar to the others. Food and drinks were average. I was disappointed they didn’t have my favorite brand of alcohol. Some restaurants were very good and others just average or below. It was easy to get into the restaurants though. Breakfast was unimpressive. Bacon was always undercooked. No omelet or special order stations here. Pool and beach areas were great! Room was clean and comfortable. And weather was perfect!
Just came back from a great relaxing week at the Riu Palace Bavaro. The beach is stunning with lots of palm trees for shade, warm clear water, and soft sand. Food and entertainment were great. Even has a water park - definitely something for everyone. By far the standouts, though, were the staff. In particular, at La Bambola - Edwardo, Elian, and Yuleysi made us feel so welcome and special every breakfast and dinner we went there. At Taino (the buffet), we were always greeted by Paco. We loved aquafit led by Roberto and “Sexy Coco.” Finally, the entertainment team helped us to learn to dance each evening - Yeison, Kelvin, and Luis were fun and patient instructors and got us on the dance floor! It was also great to see that the hotel seemed wheelchair accessible - ramps into pools and no stairs throughout the grounds. Overall a wonderful experience made better by amazing staff - would recommend to anyone!
We had an absolutely amazing experience at RIU Macao Punta Cana! From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding—everyone was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and with so many great options every day. This resort is truly family-oriented, with tons of activities for kids and adults alike, which made our stay even more special. We spent New Year’s there with my husband and our kids, and it was such a memorable way to celebrate—full of fun, joy, and great energy. What stood out the most was how beautifully they embrace their culture and share it with guests. You can truly feel the warmth, kindness, and pride of the people, which makes the experience even more meaningful. We made wonderful family memories and would absolutely recommend this resort to anyone looking for great service, amazing food, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. We can’t wait to come back!
Overall, a wonderfull all inclusive resort. The food left something to be desired in the restaurants, so we mainly stuck to the food courts in the day and the buffet at night. The rooms are great but could use some TLC in a few key areas. The towel hooks in the bathrooms are adhered to the walls and not anchored, ao 2 of the 3 were falling down. Our mini fridge didn't properly seal so the freezer would ice over and melt leaving water on the floor around the fridge. The beds, very comfortable and clean! The rooms are cleaned daily and the mini bar is always stocked! The property itself is well laid out and beautiful! Lots to do for families and vacationing adults alike. I'd go again but next time, stick to the food courts and buffets for all my food needs. Lastly, the food court bars, be aware, if you are ordering an alcoholic beverage, the bartenders do not measure, ao you may be getting a triple, a double, or a quadruple pour. It widely varies based on who ia behind the bar. Antony, by the splash pad bar, was great! I'd you see him, tip him well, hes great!
