I stayed at this resort for a week with my son and his wife on their honeymoon for their wedding, and we really enjoyed it. It had been many years since I'd visited a resort since my son lives in the Dominican Republic, but I loved the entertainment. It wasn't too noisy, the music was excellent, and the shows were great. DJ Pedro was very helpful at the disco and did a fantastic job with the shows. He was very friendly and gave us all the information about the parties and everything related to the training, speaking very good English, unlike many of his colleagues whose English level is quite low. Overall, I liked everything.

I am a non smoker and was very disappointed there was no Non-smoking area near the pool. Also, in the entertainment area smoke kept bowing inside the theater. I didn't enjoy much entertainment related to this bad smell. Yes the buffet had many choices with varied choices. If you asked a cook/chef for anything, it was made special for you. The crepe station at supper was a wonderful addition for dessert option! Sunrise on the beach is SPECTACULAR! If you love to photograph sunrises- this resort is perfect for picture taking!

This was the 2nd visit to this resort in 2 years! We chose this resort because our visit in Jan 2024 was so good and we knew what we were getting. This year did not disappoint! The resort was clean, from the pools, to the rooms, to the eating areas and the entertainment area! The shows were phenomenal each night and I even won a Riu hat playing Michael Jackson trivia! The gym was clean and had a good array of equipment to make it easy for me to maintain my workout. The wellness area was clean and quiet and the 2 massage therapists did amazing during our couple's massage. The entertainment crew does a nice job all day every day. The only downfall was the buffet food was not piping hot when we arrived at 6pm when it opened. We would typically eat later but we were with family who prefers to eat earlier. If later in the evening, it was piping hot and the restaurants were always hot! I saw some of the same faces that I did 2 years ago and that really made the visit even better. Thanks to all of the staff for a memorable holiday.

We had an amazing stay, our first time at an all inclusive resort. Perfectly located right on the beach, great buffets with all varieties of food. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, can’t stress enough how they made our trip such an amazing experience. Only complaint was that the rooms were extremely musty, some pillows showed mold when the cases were pulled off, our passports began to fold, and our clothes would be wet if left on the table surfaces. I guess can be expected staying in a humid environment, but definitely would still come back to stay again!

We stayed for two weeks during January 2026. It is a nice hotel and the better choice of all the RIUs for adults, very nice pool and beach. Drinks are pretty decent, but often will find them too sweet and limited selections. Restaurants are seriously hit and miss, will go from lovely starter to awful mains and inedible desserts, Krystal was by far the best - if you go to the steak restaurant go for medium (medium-rare will be purple and if you send it back they cook it to death). The best food is where it is prepared fresh as quite a lot was pre-prepared and kept warm (not hot). Rooms are grand with good showers, couldn't complain much at all aside from I think some rather large Americans had been sleeping in the bed we got as it had two valleys in the mattress.... Overall, I would recommend this place. Despite the imperfections we still had a great time, the pools are great, the water park is the perfect size and no queues, and it is much nicer than any other resorts we saw when heading out on day trips. The staff are generally great, no complaints at all there. It is hard to have a bad time in such a beautiful area, but there is no town nearby so be ready to stick around the resort. It is rated as a 5 star hotel, but that is not really the case. It's 5 star in comparison to most other things available in the price range.
