This hotel was very clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. I chose it because of the excellent ratings, convenient location, air conditioning, and reliable hot water. We usually travel to the Dominican Republic and stay with family, so choosing a hotel was a bit different for us, but it truly felt like visiting family. The staff were warm, pleasant, helpful, and genuinely friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable and welcoming. One small thing to note is that, unlike larger chain hotels, there was occasionally a slight odor in the bathroom, but it was minor and did not take away from the overall experience. Overall, we had everything we needed, felt very safe, and truly enjoyed our stay. I would gladly return and recommend it to others.

Avoid if you travel for business – serious issues with service and invoicing My stay at Hotelito Bonito in Santo Domingo was extremely disappointing. First, the hotel charged all taxes but refuses to issue a fiscal invoice even after more than a month, despite multiple requests. For anyone traveling for business or needing proper documentation, this is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about tax compliance. Second, the “breakfast” is almost nonexistent. It consists of one slice of toast, one egg, and a small black coffee. That’s it. No juice, no butter, and not even the possibility of getting a second slice of bread. Calling this breakfast is misleading. The property also looks very different from the photos online. The patio appears poorly maintained with overgrown vegetation, and the pool water was greenish and clearly not well maintained. The attitude of the front desk staff and phone staff was particularly shocking. They were arrogant and dismissive, even laughing at guests who were traveling for business. Finally, the rooms lack basic amenities. There was no soap, no shampoo, no conditioner—nothing at all. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and misleading compared to what is advertised. If you require proper invoices, decent service, or basic hotel standards, I strongly recommend choosing another place.

It has very pretty public areas but I would definitely not return here. They don't speak English; the breakfast was fully self-serve and some of the things were dirty - see photo of he juice glass; no TV, you need to connect with your own Netflix etc; the bed linen were dirty..there was sticky stuff on the pillow cover and I asked to at least change that one; the main pool was quite clean, but the small one (no idea what that is for) looked very dirty; also be aware of many mosquitoes. In addition, they made it very difficult for me to cancel 1 of the nights -- they sadly don't know how to operate the Booking.com system, the Reception person didn't even have any access to the system. They really need to improve cleanliness and service!

Excellent, the service is top-notch. Miguel is super friendly and helpful. The place is perfect, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. The pool was wonderful, and it feels very peaceful. I highly recommend it for taking a break and relaxing. I would definitely return to this place.

Even Christmas dinner. Like being in a typical home with the warmth of its people. Excellent service.
