Review for IKEA Rating: ★★★★★ You really can’t beat IKEA for a one-stop shop! Whether you’re looking to completely furnish a room or you just "accidentally" walked out with a dozen scented candles and a new plant, the experience is always worth it. The showroom layout is incredibly inspiring and helps you visualize how things actually fit in a home. Everything is well-organized, and I love that you can test out the furniture before buying. Despite how busy it can get, the checkout process is surprisingly efficient, and the click-and-collect service is a lifesaver for bigger projects. And of course, no trip is complete without a stop at the bistro—the meatballs (and the plant-based version!) are a classic for a reason. Great quality, affordable prices, and a fun day out.
It's an IKEA like many others but with a Latino twist. There's the big warehouse and then there's the show rooms where they display everything for your approval. They have a cafe with $95 hot dogs and boxed juice and a kids area downstairs. Parking is easy underground and it's a nice location that's easy to get in and out of. Swedish bulk retail at its finest
Online Orders & Delivery Are Completely Unreliable I placed two separate online orders, both of which I ultimately had to cancel due to ongoing issues. Communication was severely lacking, delivery timelines were not respected, and the transportation process was complete chaos. For over a weeks, I repeatedly received phone calls stating that “the driver is on the way.” Each time, I waited as instructed and adjusted my schedule — only for no one to show up. This happened multiple times with no explanation, no follow-up, and no accountability. Because the issues were not resolved and refunds were not processed, I had to request Visa chargebacks. Only after initiating the chargebacks did a customer service specialist contact me by phone. During this call, I was asked to provide my Visa card details over the phone, which I refused for security reasons, requesting instead that any refund be processed to the original form of payment. The representative, Angela De Leon, was dismissive and unprofessional when I declined to share my card information. This experience reflects serious gaps in customer service training, refund handling, and data security practices. It should never be acceptable to request full card details by phone or to respond rudely when a customer refuses. This situation caused unnecessary stress, wasted time, and a complete loss of confidence in IKEA’s online ordering system in the Dominican Republic. IKEA urgently needs to improve logistics, communication, and employee training.
The furniture is a bit pricey for me, but I always buy accessories and home decor here. And of course, I dine here 😍
The quality of several products has dropped. It is a shame that most articles are now produced in China. Hence principles of equosolidarity, eco friendly and social justice are not applicable to most articles offered.
