I've visited many DGII offices, and this one is by far the worst. From the receptionist who, when he finally shows up, gives you the wrong number, to the cashiers who are as useless as they are unpleasant. Special mention goes to Sharo Pavon from "legal support," who is not only unpleasant but also incompetent. For a simple tax clearance deposit, she made more than 10 calls, confirming every detail "out of curiosity," and every call was a five-minute excuse for her. She was always defensive, as if doing her job was a nuisance. Not only that, but she tried every trick in the book to charge me a "late filing" fine, which no longer exists. She told me the process couldn't be done with a representative, even though the form itself has a signature for the representative. She wanted to keep the original of a notarized contract, even though everyone who has dealt with the DGII knows they don't keep originals. They've turned a simple procedure into an unpleasant and tedious ordeal. There were two other employees in her area, and she literally stopped more than eight times to ask stupid questions and talk about her Ford and where she buys her batteries because it's a heavy-duty vehicle, and she doesn't mess around with her Ford. Despite all of this, during our interaction, she proceeded to mock and joke about the taxpayer, calling people like, "I'm an idiot and I don't know I'm a taxpayer," implying that I was bothering her too early for her liking. I'm a taxpayer from Valverde Mao, and she referred to the Mao DGII (Tax Administration Service) as if it were in another galaxy. The interaction with this person was truly unpleasant. I doubt she's in that position based on merit or ability; it must be because of connections, given the sheer mediocrity and ineptitude. Train your staff because it's unacceptable that a simple procedure should be so tedious.
Completely inadequate service. Yesterday I was at the Malecon Center branch to correct a mistake you yourselves made on my vehicle registration. I arrived at 8 am and at 5 pm they told me it would be tomorrow. They made me look for a pilot program despite me telling the employee that the vehicle was imported less than 5 months ago. When I returned with the paperwork, they told me it wasn't necessary. In the end, I gave up, and that's why they finally resolved it at 6 pm. They were literally just waiting for me to leave. Outrageous.
Train the security guard properly 👎
The worst place to try to pay any taxes. If you value your time, don't go here.
Today, April 18, 2024, Service Agent Victor hung up on me with an unresolved query... That says a lot about the staff of the DGII at the Máximo Gomez Administration.
