My wife and I stayed for one night in JM guesthouse. The power went out and we had zero electricity no air circulation for more than 3 hours. We decided to leave JM guesthouse at 1am to go to another hotel and ask to sit in the lobby of that hotel to connect to wifi to search for a different hotel to stay in but was unsuccessful so we returned back to JM guesthouse. While in the lobby of the other hotel my wife and I each left our reviews regarding our experience at JM guesthouse. We had medicine in the refrigerator that went bad. 1 hour After we made a complaint on booking.com about the power going out we received power and a very nasty message in the screenshot picture I uploaded. The owner or manager did not appreciate me complaining about the electricity power issue. At about 8am there were loud banging on our door for unexpected reasons. At 10am the reception knocked on our door and I open the door he told me in plain English to checkout and that checkout is at 10am, I searched on booking.com and noticed checkouts for JM guesthouse is at 11am and when I showed the reception the information on my booking.com app that checkout is at 11am the reception then replied he doesn’t speak English. This was a humiliating experience, the reception gentleman in the morning was extremely rude and disrespectful. We demand a full refund compensation for this horrible experience at our stay in JM guesthouse.

This place is located in la zona colonial, so you can pretty much enjoy what this tourist area has to offer for a decent price. The pros, it has hot water, ac, all tv services, and a loundry next door. Cons, small rooms, dirty sheets, awful customer service with scummy servants who will take you for a ride if you are not on top of your money, and the servants make more noise then a night club. I do NOT recommend this place if you're looking to have a good night sleep while enjoying la zone colonial. Skip this one and choose amongst the other hotels that can offer more bang for your bucks!

Good value for money, the rooms are clean but without windows, close to the centre, you can park your car opposite on the street. Hot water in the shower but low pressure.
