I’ve been in DR for two days and had KFC on arrival. Then I had car trouble opposite so went over to this KFC. My Spanish is terrible but the wonderful ANGELI T helped me order. I accidentally gave Angeli - DOP 1300 (1000 & 3 x 100) thinking it was DOP 400 (4x100) to cover my 395 order. I drove back to take a picture of my order as Google translate wasn’t working. Drove back to the counter and she gave me the DOP 300 back and the change from the DOP 1000. She was honest and had a great smile. I’m hoping to go back when she’s working to thank her and maybe speak to the manager. Great customer service. They were out of coke but she told me this while ordering. And I took a Sprite instead.
Very fast drive thru
I was so excited to visit this new branch, and what a surprise! The staff knows very little about customer service. They don't know how to provide quality service, they have little empathy or enthusiasm, and their inefficiency doesn't make customers fall in love with the place or the food combos. The chicken was tasteless, and the hamburger bun was quite stale. My combo included a dessert that was very hard, and on top of that, it was eight days past its expiration date. I had to stop eating it because it made me uneasy. Besides, it wasn't a fresh product, and it could even be food poisoning. The employees are vulgar, unethical, and have few principles. They may not speak much, obviously they're colleagues, but they speak in a very loud voice. We customers shouldn't have to listen to that kind of conversation or shouting. Honestly, I felt like I was ripped off. They don't offer what the advertisements show. Today I learned that before visiting a place, it's best to read the reviews so you don't regret it like I did.
Overall, the service is very good, perhaps a little more attention could be given, but it's really good. I'm not giving it 5 stars because you can serve yourself. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, a bit small, but you're just passing through for takeout, and you order something and the most you'll wait is 5 minutes, even when they tell you it will be 15, which is appreciated. It's always been good service and good food, well-fried and crispy, which is great. Without a doubt, the best KFC in Santiago in my opinion.
I went to get the "Crazy Tuesday" burger and 8-piece chicken deal at the new KFC in Las Colinas. To my surprise, when I drove up to the window, the employees signaled me to wait. It took about 10 minutes before they called me over. I picked up the order without checking it (my mistake for trusting them), and when I got home—which is about 20 minutes away—I realized they had only given me the 8 pieces of chicken and a bag with about 4 small packets of fries. Honestly, I felt cheated. I didn't like this experience at all. I thought about going back and complaining, but to be honest, we're in the Dominican Republic, and you know they probably won't do anything. I hope they improve the service and transparency at that location.
