Visiting the Dominican Association for Rehabilitation (La Romana Branch) is to witness the direct impact of an institution with over 60 years of impeccable development and a long history in our country. It all began when Mrs. Mary Pérez Marranzini's son contracted polio just a few months after birth. Faced with the complete lack of specialized services in the country at that time, she mobilized and united efforts to create a support network that culminated in the founding of the institution on April 3, 1963—an institution that is now making history in the Dominican Republic. Today, prior to the publication of this article, the organization, which is now the gold standard in comprehensive care, celebrated Mother's Day with a beautiful event at Multiplaza, masterfully hosted by Indhira Ledesma, one of our prominent media personalities. At the event, which was attended by mothers and other patients undergoing rehabilitation, we witnessed their remarkable recovery as they participated in a fashion show, where they truly shone. And the photos and videos I took don't lie. The event, which included gifts and raffles, was sponsored by Multiplaza, Grupo Ramos, and others that I will document later, as we must also recognize those who lovingly contribute. And among the main collaborators, or rather, collaborators, I must mention the Ladies' Committee of the Dominican Association for Rehabilitation (ADR), La Romana Branch, whose meritorious work is invaluable. We hope that our humble participation in sharing this story will pave the way for new charitable hands to support those who work for the well-being of the vulnerable, who are cared for at this rehabilitation center, a source of pride for La Romana.
A non-profit institution whose mission is to serve people with physical disabilities that may put them at a disadvantage compared to their peers, regardless of their socioeconomic status.
This institution does a good job; the goal is achieved through its therapies and excellent staff.
Hello, good morning, God bless you. I would like to know if anyone knows if the doctor who gives the speech therapy evaluations is working again, since I was told she was on vacation.
The customer service representative was very friendly and helped me super fast...
