Came here for lunch the day we were leaving and it was delicious! Highly recommend the guacamole for your appetizer, the carne asada tacos for an entree, and the flan for dessert.
Perfect first time experience! Food is awesome, the staff is friendly and it comes out very quickly. The pulled pork Nachos are crazy good and the burger tastes just how it looks…Excellent! The Quesadillas are also very tasty and comes with an assortment of Sour cream, Pico de Gallo and Guacamole. The Yucca Purée with the pork belly is awesome as is fried on the crispy term and the garlic sauce takes it over the top. I had the Steak with the Coconut rice with beans and being born in La Romana I can tell you that it is…..Excellent! Everything was freshly made to order and they cooked the steak to my liking, medium rare. The Brownie with ice cream is a must try as well! The ambience at night with the cool night breeze is something that will make your dinner 10X better as the place offers breathtaking spots to take night time pictures after dinner(I’m a Photography fanatic so it’s perfect for me)😎. Also, the famous Church and the Rio Chavón View are within foot steps from the restaurant. The Amphitheater is closed at night for visitors but you could also visit during the day time. 10 out of 10 experience. 👍🏼
It takes a lot for me to pull the lowest rate… but this one deserves it fully. Very friendly waiter … however we wanted to have Dominican food and they said that it was the right place to be… but I can tell with certainty that this was the worse Dominican food I have ever tried (and I come to the country twice a year, my life partner is Dominican and also an amazing cook… so I know what I am talking about). Also I will leave a picture here to make sure you feel the vibe . After eating a bit of the belly pork (best know as chicharrón), I simply needed to stop because this thing was dry, not fresh, not tasty and the worse I have ever tried. Also the waiter did a great and friendly job, gave my constructive feedback to the manager… but this person clearly did not care at all, therefore I needed to make this review public . So things said … avoid this restaurant if you are looking for the local experience because this is really going to give you the wrong impression.
Wow what a great restaurant we were a VERY large group (24) celebrating an anniversary so we arrange for 4 options (starters main meal and dessert) EVERYONE was raving about the food. It was excellent I definitely recommend it for groups it was very good... Will come back next time we are at casa de campo at altos de chavon
The service is always fantastic. The food was delicious and the drinks were great! I had the shrimp mofonguitos, my partner had the chicharrón mofonguitos and said they were excellent. The fish was seasoned and prepared beautifully.
