La Rumba de Samaná on a Wednesday night was disappointing! The place is clean and the person that waited on us was pleasant but the food remains to be desired. The appetizer we ordered was guacamole with chips gut they didn’t have the guacamole so they offered a substitute of pico de gallo and a garlic based sauce with tortillas and fried plantain chips. It didn’t do anything for my palate. Then here comes the entrees.My companion order the brochettas of Shrimp and I ordered the wings (6)… I’m glad I only ordered six and no twelve. I wanted the buffalo sauce but they didn’t have that so they gave me a mix of bbq sauce and hot sauce and drenched the wings in the sauce. The wings obviously were parboiled and they didn’t have the physical structure of wings. They were bland and you could tell from the taste that they were dipped in old grease. They were accompanied with fries that looked like they had been fried and then refried. I politely told the waiter I didn’t want the fries. Now for the shrimp plate. The presentation was nice however the quality of the meal was not satisfying… If you go don’t have high expectations. We won’t be back!

Service was fine, took a long time for the food and when it did come...it was probably the worst meal we've had so far. Our steak was very over cooked and the burger was not tasty.

Truly a life saver for vegans in Samaná! I had the tostones con habichuelas, and a side of grilled vegetables: everything was delicious and cooked on the spot. I went for the take away, so I had the chance to chat a bit with the staff while I was waiting for my order, and they seemed nice people. I especially liked the fact that when I said I was vegan, they immediately knew what to recommend 💗

I am gluten intolerant so finding a place to eat is not always the easiest. La Rumba not only welcomed us with open arms and spoke English. They recommended dishes and accommodated me and even customized my meals to fit my needs. It was delicious!!! So much so that we returned 4 more times!! Best food and best customer service where they remember you and you can tell they are genuinely are happy to see you ❤️

First place we found in Samana that serves a vegeterian mofongo, absolutely delicious! I would also highly recommend their burgers, rich in flavour, yummy! Very polite staff 👍
