Very nice experience! loved the food and the waiters
Not a fan. This is not Asian inspired/Asian fusion at all. It’s more Peruvian and it’s not my taste I wouldn’t have booked it if I knew. The food looked good but it just didn’t taste as good as it looked.the seafood main I ordered was too sweet. Also no chopsticks with the sushi app?! How odd.
Octopus skewers: delicious and nicely grilled Nikkei suckling pig: the meat was a bit dry Teriyaki beef: juicy beef but sauce a touch too salty
Second night at the resort and we chose this place. First of all - it is PERUVIAN kitchen and not asian as i thought based on its name… no biggie After reading some reviews i was a bit skeptical - first of all - yes - it is an outdoor restaurant in tropics.. humidity and mosquitos - should not be a surprise to anyone with common sense although we got lucky and experienced none… Service wasnt slow or unfriendly - staff tried and was quick and courteous. Sushi for starter meal is a single roll… nothing special at all. We opted to order a few appetizers and i can say - they were all great!!! Appetizers all deserve 5 stars. Ceviche, octopus and tuna tar tar - all were superb. Main course was all average. Salmon was plentyful but a bit dry. Shellfish was in sweet sesame sauce. Was ok for me but wife didnt like it.. They have optional dish for extra money and wines… we settled for house wine - ok… margarita - dont order. Premixed and too sweet. Desert was actually disgusting… especially the leche something meal. Overall - nothing to frown upon but not memorable.. They have vegetarian dish available
Although I was staying at Club Ambar I wanted to visit AquaMarine and dine at Mashua Nikkei. Thr surroundings are unique as it is indoor outdoor and dimly lit. The food was tasty and the varieties abundant. The restaurant could have been busier which would have given it a fun vibe yet it was a quiet night. Tables are spaced really far apart which gives a very alone dining feel. Cheers, Spicy Jan
