Even on a rainy Tuesday, this bar had an amazing atmosphere. The bartender was exceptional! He crafted one of the finest cocktails I’ve ever tasted, and it definitely deserves to be added to the menu. We requested a drink that wasn’t too sweet, and he truly delivered! The cocktails on the menu were also fantastic, and the music set the perfect mood and it was extremely diverse. I love that there is space for you to dance.

Perfect spot for a date night, it has several different areas: the terrace, the rooftop, and the nightclub. All the spaces are great. The place gets very crowded, so if you want to go to the nightclub, book a table in advance.

I don’t recommend coming here at all. I’m a volunteer in the country and have been here before, but I had a nasty experience last week when a big group of my friends came to visit me. I decided to take them to the colonial zone to experience it, and this was our first stop of the night after dinner. In short, they purposefully tried to up-charge us for a higher class of liquor. Never once did they clarify if we wanted a certain type of liquor either, and mind you, we ordered our drinks by their name. I’m a native Spanish speaker, and I’m used to locals trying to take advantage of me sometimes when it comes to pricing. It’s very clear that they were trying to take advantage of a big group of foreigners. When I confronted them, they became very hostile and refused to take any blame. All I asked is that they charge us for the cheapest liquor rather than the more expensive one, especially since they never clarified. After, they kept telling me that their “well”, or house liquor, is a more expensive class than their cheapest one (nowhere on their menu or website does it say this). Frankly, this is a practice done in predatory establishments. I kept arguing with them, talked to two managers who threatened to call the cops on us, until they finally offered us a 10% discount after I got the waiter to confess he purposefully tried to put a more expensive liquor in our drinks without our consent. If you come here, beware. I recommend only ordering beer or something they can’t alter. The atmosphere was fine, but you could tell they were trying to cram the place with as many people as possible. Additionally, I’ve already told all my fellow volunteers to avoid this place, as well as friends I have at the embassy. I highly recommend checking out other bars such as Parada 77, Museo del Ron, or Onno’s.

The only thing that’s good here is the setting just cause it’s a tropical island is pretty, but not worth buying a drink at or spending money out way overpriced and the service it feels like they’re just trying to make you spend more money rather than helping you find something that’ll actually taste good or be goodDefinitely not going here again.

READ THIS; I am Dominican. Great atmosphere, but be careful because bartenders and cashiers are shady. They will try to shame you into buying more expensive drinks. I initially had a mojito, which was $6. They then said it was too basic and coerced me into trying a "better" drink. To my surprise, it was $18, but I only saw it after the fact because they naturally won't tell you the price upfront. Remember that they get a 10% cut of whatever you buy, hence their recommendation for super expensive drinks. To top it off, these 2 drinks barely had any alcohol in them. Stick to YOUR drinks and what you know; these people are NOT your friends. It's a great thing I didn't give them any additional tips and you shouldn't either. Again, they are not your friends.
