The art museum in Santo Domingo had many diverse paintings, figures, art deco types and a water exhibit celebrating Dominican art culture over the decades. Including a picture of Marilyn Monroe covered with flys.
I was impressed to see such beautiful art made by Dominicans, I felt so proud 🥰🇩🇴🎨 thank you for keeping the place clean, modern, and affordable to anyone. Great visual experience
The museum is very clean and safe. Great art and information. Entry was 100DOP. Bathrooms clean. No guides or tours, but I wasn't looking for that. Took about 30 mins to walk through. I was in the area, so it was definitely worth it.
Great place, beautiful art pieces! Don't forget to go down the basement, they usually have cool exhibitions there. This building alone is beautiful and the exhibits, mostly photography and paintings are stunning. You will find most of the sculpture and three-dimensional stuff on the third floor.
