Self-guided tours. Treasures and ancient artifacts. Enjoyed it.
This is a quiet and nicely air conditioned attraction across from the cathedral and it's a nice spot to stop and learn a little history of the Catholic Church in the Caribbean. It's about 100 pesos to enter and that gives you a guided tour that appears to be recently updated, because it all seemed pretty new. There are nice exhibits of artifacts and in the bottom is the Treasury where you can see the gold and silver pieces of the Church's stores. I'd recommend it.
A hidden gem next to the cathedral which is definitely worth a visit. For just 200 pesos you get to see the interesting history behind the cathedral plus some secret treasuries including objects owned and used by Columbus and the Pope. The lady Sophia was so kind in giving us a guided tour.
I was so positively surpised by this museum, I am not religious or into church items but the museum is super interesting, with cool features and you’ll learn a lot!
Great museum with lots to see and informative. Good air conditioning. Just be careful at the ticket office as the ticket seller lady tried to charge us $5 each which we disputed as it's not in accordance with their website. We then tried to pay by card and she wouldn't show us the amount on the screen until we demanded it again we think she was putting a higher amount in. It's 100 local per person as of 9 October 2025.
