Recently rented a Honda CRV but got a Kia Sorento instead. The car broke down on the first drive itself, diagnosis is that it has a dead battery as it fails to crank. The car is at the resort and both Nelly or Ace car company are hopeless to provide any support. There is no sense of urgency from them. People come here after taking vacation and planning a detailed itinerary but if your car is broken it has cascading effects. I would suggest you stick to hertz. They take customer service seriously And also maintain their cars. This car is overdue it's service by 3500 kms as seen in the dash. After repeated messages and calls all you get is false assurance that they are looking into it. Pricing details, cost of car is rental for a week is 250 , insurance for it is close to 650. Total you pay almost 900 for a week.

By far the best experience I’ve had renting in the Dominican Republic, I nearly want to believe this is the best experience I’ve had from a rental car company overall. Mr Lopez was outstanding and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a top tier experience while in the Dominican Republic. I would 100% recommend using ace and ask for Mr Bryan Lopez.
