If you are thinking of buying here for short term rental Do NOT. They treat short term renters a little like prisoners. They don’t allow any guest in at any time for short term renters. They cannot have a guest on the beach chairs with them when there are plenty of empty seats. The moment you are done eating the guest has to leave the public beachfront restaurant. As my guest was being escorted away two other guest groups said this is ridiculous and said we are kind of like prisoners here.

DO NOT STAY at this place. I used to stay here all the time, but now this place is the worst. If you want to pay thousands of dollars to feel like a prisoner with no rights and with no ability to have guests for even an hour, go ahead. The new management is terrible, implementing restrictive rules that keep you from enjoying yourself. I used to be able to have friends visit for a few hours by leaving their licenses at the front gate, but that’s apparently impossible now. Also, you have to walk to the gate even when you’re tired and it’s rainy outside, because they won’t let your Uber in. They wouldn’t allow us to leave when we were running late for the airport because they wanted us to check out while the rest of our party was still at the house and not checking out until the next day. No amount of reasoning was understood. I hate this place and will never go back again. By the way, Gerald at the front desk is terrible—he refused to help and wouldn’t provide the management email so I could provide feedback. This is the kind of place where you can’t even file a complaint if you feel it’s necessary.

We stayed in Playa Turquesa for 9 days in May. It was wonderful. The weather was great, sunshine all day every day. The condominium complex is very well taken care of. The beach is clean, no seaweed. They have a tractor that cleans it up at least twice a day. There is security all through the complex. We felt very safe. Everyone on the staff is nice and friendly. We had a lot of fun conversations with them. Clean and large pools. You can book your excursions right outside the condo. Go out the beach gate, turn left, you’ll see guys in white shirts in front of SoHo Beach restaurant. Talk to them, they have great prices. If you get hungry, there are numerous restaurants on the beach as well as right outside the condo gate. We liked Terra Negra and LaBruja. There is a supermarket 2 min away from the condo complex gate. It has everything you need and the prices are good. There is a pharmacy 3 min walking as well. Highly recommend Playa Turquesa, a little piece of paradise on Earth.

We love staying at Playa Turquesa. It's in the perfect spot with plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance. Very clean and very safe. We look forward to staying there every year. Very relaxing!
