Open plaza area. Has restaurants on one side and historic architecture on the other side. Becomes very lively during weekends. Try to avoid visiting during high noon because it might get pretty hot. Evening dinner at the restaurants can be a pleasant experience. The restaurants here are priced on the higher end.
Always a great place to walk around and take in the history and atmosphere. The open space, views, and surrounding restaurants make it an easy stop in the Zona Colonial. Visiting in December was even better. The Christmas tree and holiday decorations were a really nice touch and added to the overall vibe.
Plaza Colonial is a charming and historic spot full of life and culture. There's so much to see and do....from exploring the beautiful surroundings to enjoying live music that fills the air. The food is delicious, with plenty of local flavors to try. One of the most peaceful and memorable experiences is feeding the palomas (doves) as you take in the vibrant atmosphere. A perfect place to relax and soak in the beauty of the past and present.
Amazing place in zona colonial. Must see if in the area. Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area. Amazing visuals just walking ♥️🇩🇴
A must visit while you are in the Santo Domingo. Beautiful old streets. Many restaurants with affordable prices and delicious food. Even Coca-Cola Christmas tree looks good) You can spend many hours just walking around. Only one thing I didn't like - annoying guides who wants to offer their services.
