I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Located Downtown Santo Domingo. Several restaurants within 5-15 minutes. I walked through the neighborhood after 1am and felt safe. Hotel staff was great and the bar was🥂🍺🍸💯💯👍👍👍.
Radisson Hotel Santo Domingo offers strong value for its location and price. You are close to key areas of the city, which saves time and transportation costs. For business or leisure, that matters. The property does need some upgrades. Certain areas show wear and could benefit from renovation. Still, the overall experience remains positive because the staff is consistently friendly and helpful. They respond quickly and treat guests with respect. The highlight is the breakfast included. It is generous, fresh, and well organized. You get a wide variety of options, from fruits and pastries to hot dishes. It adds real value to your stay. If you want a central location, fair pricing, and a strong breakfast, this hotel is worth it. With some updates, it could compete at a higher level. Even now, I recommend it.
What a horrible hotel. Definitely one to avoid. There were problems with the electricity, ongoing maintenance work, and a lot of noise in the room. Rooms 621–607 are next to the parking area, so they are especially noisy. When it rains, the metal cover outside the window makes even more noise. There was only one person working at reception, which made service slow. Service dropped from 3 to 2 mainly because of the waiting time at reception and how the noise complaint was handled. When I complained about the noise, they made me walk up to another room, only for me to find out that the room was already occupied. After that, they simply said there were no rooms left. The attitude was quite clear. However, I added one star because cleaning woman seems to be only one with the real smile. The regular breakfast buffet costs 20 USD, but it was very basic, mostly bread and eggs. The shower sprays water all over the bathroom. The pool was also disappointing. Its size in reality is nothing like what the pictures lead you to believe. The rooms are big, so that is probably the only positive thing, if you like spacious rooms. Otherwise, I would not recommend this hotel. Small update, noice started sround 8am and continued until 3pm.
Loud and noisy during the night. Granted it was Christmas Eve. The room was substandard, the toilet did not work properly, the air did not work when heat mode was needed. Had to call room service for repairs, towels (which were pretty old) and blankets (they did address the issues in a promptly manner, however, I don’t want to deal with issues while vacationing). The location is a bit far front the touristic colonial zone and you will need to take an uber or taxi which will cost you between 7-10 dollars. The staff is friendly and helpful overall, trying hard to do their best, except for Lucia on the front desk who needs some training on providing a friendlier attitude and customer service. We checked out early and found a better accommodation for a similar price point and closer to the spots that we were interested in visiting. Lastly, the breakfast is definitely not worth the price for the quality of what is offered. The wait staff did do a great job and were very attentive. Definitely not coming back to this property, in my view it is not worth what they currently charge.
Breakfast is not included there was an extra charge, there was mold everywhere in the restroom electricity constantly going on and off. We were afraid to get on the elevator! no refrigerator or microwave Ice not available on our floor other floors it was available but your room key only permits you to go to your floor so if you want ice you have to take several stairs. insulation non existent might as well rent a room on top of a Harley Davidson convention motorcycles all night and through the morning constantly revving engines right outside the window. im not a negative person normally but this hotel pushed all the wrong buttons will not stay here again!
