I was vsiting from the states and was happy to find a local craft brewery in la zona colonial. Their fruited sour with passion and dragon fruit and the salted beer were really good. Very nice vibe. If you like breweries in the US, stop at Republica Brewing.

This place seemed really cute from outside and we were the only customers when we went in. Not a problem as the waitress seemed really nice and chatted with us, also suggesting a beer she liked that we ordered. We asked for the 3x2 promotion on their menu and I also checked the time on my phone in from of the waitress and joked with her that we were right on time for the promotion but… bad surprise when we went to pay as only then we discovered the promotion that we asked for was for smaller beers! They brought us full size and the waitress failed to tell us otherwise when we ordered (we also did not ask for full size, but just the 3x2, whatever that was). It’s quite disappointing as the beers were good and we would have come back as we are few day in Santo Domingo and we really like draft beers. If you happen to stop by, I would suggest you properly check their promotions as they are not going to be upfront with you and will just bring full size even if you ask for the promotion. On another hand, we should also have properly checked, but it felt a tourist trap we fell into and we should not have trusted what it seemed a really nice place and waitress. First time during our holiday in Dominican Republic that such a thing happened, so thank you Republica Brewing Draft for the tourist trap experience ;)

Do not trust their promotions. We went in for their 3x2 happy hour and explicitly asked the server for the deal before ordering. When the check came, they charged us full price. Their excuse? They gave us "bigger" beers that magically weren't part of the promotion—something they completely failed to mention when we ordered. Classic scam to run up the bill. Really disappointing experience.

Very happy with this place. The tasting they offer very versatile. Each beer has a bitterness measurement. It was something new for me. With the tasting option you gonna get 4 glasses if beers for 600 DP . Worth to try. Enjoy

Loved it!! I'm from NYc and getting good quality drinks on a dollar is hard. My drinks were not just delicious but on mixology level. Had a great vibe loungy,but a low key bar vibe with great tunes. Lovely bohemian vibe
