Giving this place a solid 4 stars. It’s not exactly "upscale," but it honestly has everything you need for a good workout. The Vibe & Equipment A lot of the machines remind me of a Planet Fitness back in the States. The best part? Some of the equipment is outdoors. There’s nothing like getting a pump in the fresh air! Just a heads-up: when I went, one of the treadmills and the StairMasters were out of commission. How to Find It This place is a total "hole in the wall." It’s tucked away behind an apartment building, so the GPS might leave you a bit confused at first. The Trick: Look for a sign on the sidewalk featuring someone playing baseball and tennis. The Route: Head behind that apartment building and you’ll see the gym right there. Things to Know Before You Go Money: They do not take American debit cards. It’s pretty much cash only—usually around $20 USD or less. The Bathroom: This is where they could use some work. There were no toilet seats or hand soap when I visited, so keep that in mind. The Drive: Be super careful on the small side streets nearby. The roads have some massive potholes that could definitely ruin your day. Overall Verdict: I’d definitely recommend this spot to any Americans looking for a place to train. It’s got a good atmosphere, just be prepared for the "hidden" location and bring some cash!
$200 pesos a day, outdoor gym, mostly good equipment. Good amount of weights. Best gym I’ve been to in the DR.
This gym is very complete, with a fully equipped weight room, an aerobics and cardio area, and a CrossFit area. Plus, the full membership includes access to the swimming pool.
Royal Fitness is an exceptional place for anyone looking to improve their fitness and overall health. The combination of excellent facilities, a variety of classes, friendly staff, and a positive atmosphere keeps me motivated to come back. I recommend this gym without hesitation!
One of the most modern and complete gyms in La Romana, oh and it has a ball court and pitching tuner.
